The American Beverage Association and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation release the School Beverage Guidelines 2007-2008, a second report on the progress of elementary, middle, and high schools and beverage bottlers in offering healthier, lower volume beverages to students. Conducted by Keybridge Research, this analysis measures both the volume of products sold and the percentage of schools in compliance with beverage industry leaders' voluntary guidelines. The study concludes that overall compliance has surpassed the benchmark goals for introducing healthier beverages into schools, with 79% of schools under contract achieving compliance in 2007-2008.
